What this tool does

A free tarot reading with the 22 Major Arcana (the Fool at 0 to the World at 21) — the cards in the 78-card deck that deal with life's big currents. Choose today, love, work and money, or yes/no, draw one card or three from 22 face-down cards, and get a reading and advice matched to whether each card is upright or reversed. Every card also has its own page with the full meaning.

How it is calculated

When you shuffle, the order of the 22 cards is randomised with your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), and each card has a one-in-three chance of landing reversed (upside down). All cards are face down, so you cannot know which card is where. A one-card draw is the message for now; a three-card draw places your picks, in order, as past, present and future. The reading depends on the topic: Today shows the upright or reversed meaning, Love shows the love reading, and Work shows the work and money reading. Yes/no uses the answer each card traditionally leans toward (yes, no or maybe); a reversed card weakens it by one step to maybe.

Choose a topic (today, love, work or yes/no) and how many cards (one or three).

Hold one question in mind and press Shuffle.

Pick the cards that draw you from the 22 face-down cards; they flip over and the reading appears.

Use Share result or Copy result link to send the same reading to a friend, or tap a card name to read its full meaning.

Things to know

Open questions such as 'What do I need to know about this relationship?' are easier to apply than 'Will it work out?'.

Rather than redrawing the same question again and again, try carrying the first card's advice with you for the day.

The result link contains only the topic and card numbers. Your question and name are never stored or sent anywhere.

Death and the Tower do not predict literal events. They are read as endings, change and clearing away what is worn out.

Frequently asked questions

Why only the 22 Major Arcana?

Of the 78 cards, the Major Arcana deal with life's big currents and turning points, so their meaning comes through clearly in a short one- or three-card reading. The 56 numbered Minor Arcana cover everyday details; this tool focuses on short, clear messages.

How is a reversed card decided?

When the deck is shuffled, each card has a one-in-three chance of being placed upside down. A reversed card is read as the upright meaning blocked, weakened or turned inward, and each card page has separate upright and reversed readings.

If I send the result to a friend, will they see the same cards?

Yes. The end of the result link holds the topic and the cards you drew (number and orientation), so whoever opens it sees exactly the same reading. No question text or personal information is included.

Is tarot actually accurate?

Tarot is not a proven way to predict the future. This tool borrows the cards' traditional symbolism to help you reflect on your feelings and situation. Make important health, money or legal decisions based on facts and professional advice.
